Ice Breaker
YOU DONT HAVE TO SHARE IF YOU DONT WANT TO. What is one of the funniest but most embarrassing moments you can remember?

MAIN SCRIPTURE:
“Make allowance for each other’s faults, and forgive anyone who offends you. Remember, the Lord forgave you, so you must forgive others. Colossians‬ ‭3:13‬ ‭

DISCUSSION:
There are ways we can either create/prepare for a happy marriage or an unhappy marriage. We are learning that more and more couples are becoming unhappier in their marriages. There are several factors to this, and we are going to learn what they are and how to overcome them.

Q1 - Discuss with the group. Why do you think more and more couples are unhappy in their marriages?

Q2 - What do you think we can do to become more happy in our marriages, or in preparation for a marriage?

Q3 - In your opinion, are there more things to be happy about or unhappy about?

#1 REASON WE’RE NOT HAPPY IN OUR MARRIAGES IS WE REFUSE TO ACCEPT THE FACT THAT WE MARRIED A HUMAN BEING

Fact #1 - all humans have faults, including you.

[Faults]: defects, imperfections, places we fail in, make mistakes, offense, short comings

Q4 - Testimony time! Fill in the blank: something that makes me happy is ____________.

Q5 - Why is it important to understand that our spouse/future spouse is human?

Q6 - What are some false expectations that we may go into our marriages with?

Fact #2 - We will get offended once in a while (especially if you’re young and immature)

Q7 - How can you do a better job in dealing with offense?

Fact #3 - We must learn how to forgive

[Forgiveness](char-zo-mai): to let go, pardon, release from penalty, stop talking about it, to do something pleasant, be kind, to rescue and deliver

Q8 - How does forgiving others help you to be more happy?

Q9 - Is there anyone on your heart right now that you need to forgive?
