Icebreaker: Did you watch the McGregorVSMayweather fight? If so, who did you go for?

Purpose: The purpose of this lesson is to define and discuss the good news and how to walk out our assignment in sharing!

Main Scripture:

Mark 16:15 And then he told them, “Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone."

Discussion: We are still on earth because there is an assignment that we still have to fulfill that can only be done on earth before we get to Heaven. Preaching the GOOD NEWS is our earthly assignment! This message is so important that Jesus won't come back until it's completed, which means until the whole world has heard the Good News, Jesus won't come back. Matthew 24:14 says that the Good News will be preached throughout the world and all nations will hear, and then the end will come.

Q1 - Think about your closest family and friends. Are there people in your life that you need to share the Good News with? What is stopping you?

Q2 - Share with your group a place in the world that you have been called to, had vision for, or always wanted to share the Good News with.

What is the good news?

1. The good news is about Christ!

Romans 1:16 "For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile."

We are living in a time where Christians aren't willing to be persecuted for the gospel. Sometimes people are scared that they will lose acceptance, money, honor, a reputation, and many other things. Sometimes they are worried about not knowing what they're talking about and they are afraid to be used.  Most of the time, persecution is your test of authenticity.

Q3 - Discuss what persecution means.

Q4 - Describe a time when you stepped out and were "persecuted" for the Good News.

Q5 - What if you were dropped off in a place where the people had never heard of the good news? What would you do/say?

2. We are made right when we believe in the sacrifice!

Romans 3:22-25 We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are. For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. Yet God, in his grace, freely makes us right in his sight. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past.

God isn't here to judge us or make it difficult for us to please him. We are not perfect, but it is so important for us to know that what Jesus did on the cross gave us grace. When we put our faith in Jesus and when we believe in his sacrifice, we are made right. His WHOLE assignment was to give us right standing. HE HAS DEEMED US RIGHTEOUS!

Righteous: 100% right standing with God!

Q6 -  Has there been a time when you felt disqualified or not in right standing to preach the Good News?

Q7 - How can we be reminded that we ARE qualified and that God needs us to be a vessel?

three ways we can share the good news

1. Tell them the Good News yourself! (Tell them YOUR Good News testimony)

2. Bring them to hear the Good News! (Invite them to service, C-Group, bible studies.)

3. Share our website and Way App with them! (thewayworldoutreach.org, The Way Church App. All our messages are on there!)

Declaration: I am a child of God. I will be unashamed to share the Good News with everyone I know and beyond that. I will share the Good News and share my testimony. I will walk in righteousness because God has deemed me righteous! I accept his grace and believe in his sacrifice. I will be bold and I will use the 3 ways to share the Good News with people.

Application: Apply the 3 ways we can share the Good News this week. Gather a few of your friends or family to go and preach the Good News and invite them to service or your C-Group.
