Ice Breaker

If you could stand on one word this year, what would it be?

Purpose

The purpose of this lesson is to understand the importance of preparation, and how your preparation directly effects your provision.

Main Scripture

2 Kings 4.1-3 NLT
1 One day the widow of a member of the group of prophets came to Elisha and cried out, “My husband who served you is dead, and you know how he feared the Lord. But now a creditor has come, threatening to take my two sons as slaves"
2 “What can I do to help you?” Elisha asked. “Tell me, what do you have in the house?” “Nothing at all, except a flask of olive oil,” she replied.
3 And Elisha said, “Borrow as many empty jars as you can from your friends and neighbors. 4 Then go into your house with your sons and shut the door behind you. Pour olive oil from your flask into the jars, setting each one aside when it is filled.”

DISCUSSION

We are in the year of NO LIMITS, but in order to reap different results, we have to prepare. The level of your preparation will always determine the level of your provision. There are 3 laws of preparation that we must abide by to see a good provision.

Law #1 - Where we plant, we will reap.
Wherever you invest, you will see a return in your life. It's important to understand that where we plant and where we take root will determine the type of harvest we get.

Q1 - Where are you taking root? Where are you seeing growth?

Q2 - When a tree takes root, it commits to the ground that it's planted and doesn't move. How have you shown your commitment to the "ground" that you're planted in?

Q3 - Have you ever felt motivated to grow, but feel like you're not going anywhere? Do you have faith, but seem to lack in action?

Law #2 - What we plant, we will reap.
We don't come across success or failures by accident. There is always something we've sown or not sown that has caused our results.

Q4 - We've all in some way received results we may not have been happy about. Discuss how your actions can begin to alter the results you've been getting in life.

Q5 - What are you going to do different this year that will produce a harvest that you've never had before?

Law #3  - The amount we plant will determine the amount we harvest
When you're expecting a great harvest, you prepare huge!

Q6 - What HUGE harvest are you expecting this year? How much do you need to invest in order to see this harvest come to pass in your life?

Q7 - God doesn't waste the "oil" of anointing on the disobedient. Is there an area of your life that you can become more obedient to God's instructions?

Declaration:  I am expecting a GREAT harvest this year! I will stand on God's word and continue to prepare for the best year that I have ever lived! I will plant in the right place, I will plant the right seed, and I will prepare BIG! I am expecting this to be the year of no limits in my life. In Jesus name, AMEN!
