There are 4 parts to every C-Group meeting: 1. Vision of the Church, 2. The Word, 3. Giving, and 4. Fellowship.

We have great things coming!

  1. The Big Day! - December 16th - Let’s be ready to bring in our pledges so that we can get the building in our name and continue touching lives!

Circle: God gave His 1st and best so that we would give our first and best to Him.

God initiated the circle. He started the giving process by giving to us first.

#1 - Before we gave our lives to Him, He 1st gave His son for us.

Revelation 13:8 (GW) Everyone living on earth will worship it, everyone whose name is not written in the Book of Life. That book belongs to the lamb who was slaughtered before the creation of the world.

God gave His son before creation. It wasn’t an after thought. He knew that before he created everything, the price to redeem everyone was the sacrifice offering of his son.

Q1 - How does it make you feel that God didn’t wait for you to give to Him before He gave to you?

Q2 - What does it say about God if He would give to us without any guarantee that we would give back?

Q3 - What is one way we can say “thank you” to God with our actions?

#2 - BEfore we loved Him, He 1st loved us

1 John 4:19 NLT We love each other because he loved us first.

Q4 - How do we know that God loved us first?

Q5 - Jesus knew he was dying for YOU. How should we respond to such a wonderful love?

#3 - Before we ever gave our 1st to God, He gave His 1st fruit offering for us.

1 Corinthians 15:23 ESV But each in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, then at his coming those who belong to Christ.

It requires faith to give a first fruit offering because you have to give before you have the expected and full harvest. The perfect example of this is that Christ died for us while we were still sinners.

Q6 - Why did Jesus die for us while we were still sinners instead of waiting for us to get right?

Q7 - How can you apply this same faith in your life?

Chapter 4 - “ Breaking the Spirit of Mammon ”

Mammon originates from a word meaning “riches,” and it is actually a spirit. Jesus said, You cannot serve God and mammon” Matthew 6:24). Our money can either be submitted to God or a spirit of mammon.

[Q8] Mammon deceives us by promising the things only God can give – security, significance, identity, independence, power, or freedom. In the past, which of these have you been most likely to believe that wealth could give you?

[Q9] Jesus said that only those who are faithful in small things should be expect to be entrusted with bigger things. What are some of the “small things” that God has entrusted to you? How can wise stewardship of those small things lead to bigger things?

Luke 16:10 NIV Whoever can be trusted with very little can also be trusted with much, and whoever is dishonest with very little will also be dishonest with much.

This scripture reveals a very important principle that we just discussed. Now is the time for us to put that principle into practice. Let’s practice taking care of the little things, because the way we handle the little things is how we should expect to handle the large ones.

Declaration Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I want everything in my life to be submitted to You- including my money. As I am obedient through tithing, I want Your Spirit to be on our money, not a spirit of mammon. Please guard my heart against the spirit of mammon that is so widespread in the world today. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
