The purpose of this lesson is to build our faith so that we can receive the miracle that God has for us!

Main Scripture:

Suddenly, a man with leprosy approached him and knelt before him. "Lord" the man said, "if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean." Jesus reached out and touched him, "I am willing," he said. "Be healed!" And instantly the leprosy disappeared. (Matt 8: 2-3 NLT)

Over and over in scripture we see a pattern for the miraculous. God always confirms His word with signs following. As we study the scriptures, we can be assured that God is still a God of miracles, and His Word will empower us to walk in the supernatural everyday!

Miracle: Something that only God can do!

4 Initiators of a Miracle

1. Come

Matthew 11:28-30 NLT Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls.30 For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

Q1 - What are some areas you believe God's works miracles?

Q2 - Are there times you feel like you need to change your ways before you come to God?

Q3 -  Read James 4:8 NLT. What do you think it means to draw close to God?

2. Love

1 John 3:16-18 NLT By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us, and we ought to lay down our lives for the brothers. 17 But if anyone has the world's goods and sees his brother in need, yet closes his heart against him, how does God's love abide in him? 18 Little children, let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth

Q4 - Name a time in your life that you've experienced selfless love from someone.

Q5 -  This week, how can you practice loving others, not just in your words, but in your deeds?

3. humility

2 Chronicles 7:14-15 NLT Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 15 My eyes will be open and my ears attentive to every prayer made in this place.

Q6 -  According to this scripture, what must we do before we're forgiven and restored?

Q7 - Describe the difference between what humility and pride look like in everyday situations.

4. Faith

Q8- Faith is believing that God will take nothing and turn it into something. Can you describe an area of your life that you need to see this happen for you?

I declare that I will see God's miracle for my life! I declare that I will draw close to God everyday, I will walk in His love, I will remain humble, and I will exercise my faith! Thank you Jesus for bringing me a miracle!

Write down the miracle you believe God will give you EVERYDAY this week (This should be a total of 7 times by the end of the week).
