What's 1 of your goals in 2018?
The purpose of this lesson is to show us that we can develop a NEW MAX and go to another level in life!
Isaiah 43:18 NLT But forget all that--it is nothing compared to what I am going to do.
A new max means to develop a new limit of ones capacity or endurance. Wouldn't you like to develop a new max of being able to handle spiritual blessings, ministry, assignments, anointing, love, endurance, finances, and be a greater influence? Believe it or not, your max is greater than what you may know. In order to reach the maximum in life, we cannot do the minimum.
New Max: to develop a new limit of ones capacity or endurance
Q1 - Have you felt like you've come to your limit in what you can handle?
Q2 - Do you believe God is preparing you for another level? How so?
3 facts about our max!
1. we can go from one level of max to the next
Mark 4:20 (NLT) And the seed that fell on good soil represents those who hear and accept God's word and produce a harvest of thirty, sixty, or even a hundred times as much as had been planted!
Q3 - Why is it not healthy to compare your max with someone else's max?
Q4 - God has given us instruction (or SEED) in order to go to another level. What SEED has God already given you for this new year?
2. god distributes his blessings and resources based on our present max/ability
God will never give us more than we can handle!
Matthew 25:14-15 NLT "Again, the Kingdom of Heaven can be illustrated by the story of a man going on a long trip. He called together his servants and entrusted his money to them while he was gone. 15 He gave five bags of silver to one, two bags of silver to another, and one bag of silver to the last—dividing it in proportion to their abilities. He then left on his trip."
Q5 - What do you think are some blessings you can miss out on this year if you don't develop a new level of capacity?
Q6 - What are some new blessings you are going to begin preparing for this year?
3. our new max will be dependent on our present faithfulness
There is a process to developing a new max.
Matthew 25:21 NLT "The master was full of praise. 'Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!'"
Q7 - When we're faithful in small amounts, God will entrust us with more! What has God given you responsibility over right now? Do you feel like you've been faithful to these responsibilities to your max?
Q8 - Going backwards is easy, all you have to do is nothing. Going forward takes some exercise. Share with the group something you can start doing this week to help you go to a new max.
I declare that I will develop a new max this year! I declare that I will begin preparing for a new level of blessing from God! I declare that I will be faithful with what God has already entrusted with me in order to see a new level. I declare that by the end of this year, I will have a new max!
