“No More Chains”

We serve a gracious and loving God and we can be set free by the power of God.  There is no chain the God cannot set you free from.  You just must be willing to take action once the chains are broken.

John 8:31-32 (NKJV) 31 Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

We all have our problems, but we get to be free in our spirit from the inside.  Whenever Jesus is present, wherever the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom.

Q1.   What could happen to a person’s spirit who is not free?

1.      Be honest and confess your sins.

1 John 1:8-10(NLT) 8 If we claim we have no sin, we are only fooling ourselves and not living in the truth. 9 But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. 10 If we claim we have not sinned, we are calling God a liar and showing that his word has no place in our hearts.

You should always confess your sins to God and another person, because when you confess your sins it opens you up to healing and freedom.   When you do not acknowledge and confess your sins it opens the door to demon possession.  (See Luke 8: 27-29)

James 5:16  (NLT) 16 Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.

Q2.  Who is a safe person that you can trust and confess your sins to? Are they open to talk with you as soon as possible, so that you can repent and then confess your sin?

Confront the things that are holding you back because being open and honest about your struggles and hinderances releases freedom.

Colossians 3:9  (NKJV) 9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds,

We must get rid of the chains, so that they do not pass down as a generational curse.

Q3.  What generational curses are you stopping from being passed down to your family?

1.      Keep yourself full of Gods word and prayer.

Matthew 12:43-45 (NKJV) 43 “When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. 44 Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. 45 Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.”

Empty – To take a holiday, to take a day of rest, to take leisure, to be vacant.  We have to be filled with God and you do not want to be empty of the presence of God, His word or His Holy Spirit.

Q4.  How will you keep yourself from being empty of the Holy Spirit?

2.     Watch your leisure time.  Don’t let your guard down and keep the door closed to the enemy.

Galatians 5:1 New Living Translation (NLT) 5 So Christ has truly set us free. Now make sure that you stay free, and don’t get tied up again in slavery to the law.

Q5. What steps can you take to be sure that you are being watchful of your leisure time?

3.      Confess your sin immediately.  Don’t let a minute go by after sinning without repenting unconfessed sin opens a door to bondage/chains of addictions.

4.     Have fellowship with people that are free.

Father, we know that we all fall short and sin, but please help us to always be honest with you Jesus and others.  We will repent quickly with a heart of sorrow and humbleness.  Help us to be alert of the enemies’ tricks and tactics that manipulate us into sin.  Help us to use our time wisely and to be careful of leisure time.  We want to live a life of freedom with no chains and bondage, so that we can be able to help the next person to freedom and truth.

Jesus we will come to you with our sins daily with a heart of repentance and keep ourselves filled with the Holy spirit and your word.  We will surround ourselves with people who are free.

Our kids and youth are heading to camp! They will come back transformed, and their lives will never be the same again! Thank you for making contributions to help them receive healing and breakthrough. We’ve seen several stories of teens that were dealing with suicidal thoughts, but overcame because they had an encounter with God at camp.
