The purpose of this lesson is to learn what happens when we allow offense into out hearts and how we can overcome it.
Matthew 24:10 BRG And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.
Today we are talking about a heavy topic: offense. It's important that we talk about this issue because our lives will be significantly impacted by it. Not only are our lives here on Earth impacted by it, but hating others has a major impact on where we spend eternity after we die.

3 consequences of offense
#1 - The offense will become a spiritual cancer and only become worse
Matthew 24:13 NLT Sin will be rampant everywhere, and the love of many will grow cold. 13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

#2 - If we don't forgive, god won't forgive you
Matthew 6:15 NLT But if you refuse to forgive others, your Father will not forgive your sins.

#3 - It will stop our prayers from being answered
Mark 11:24 NLT I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. 25 But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too

I declare that I am Unoffendable! I will not allow offense to enter my heart. I forgive everyone who has hurt me, and will no longer hold onto it anymore. Thank you Jesus for forgiving me and helping me to forgive others.
Avoid Gossiping! Some of the worst traps of offense is talking about it to others. Don't bring it up, and avoid talking about it if someone else brings it up.
