“Planting = Fulfillment”
There is a principle that is true, no matter who you are or where you come from: what you plant, you will reap. We have all planted bad seed in some way, whether that be with negative words, bad actions, or other ways we let our flesh rule in our lives. Because of this, we also reap bad fruits. It causes our lives to suffer. But this principle was not designed so that we can pay for the bad seed we planted, it was designed so that we can plant good seed and harvest good fruit!
Here are some ways we plant seeds:
#1 - With our Words
PROVERBS 18:21 NCV
People will be rewarded for what they say; they will be rewarded by how they speak. 21 What you say can mean life or death. Those who speak with care will be rewarded.
Q1 - Words have a lot do with the outcome in our lives. Why do you think think this is so?
Q2 - How can your words improve in order to bring more value to your life and to those around you?
#2 - With our actions
JOHN 13:17 AMP
If you know these things, you are blessed [happy and favored by God] if you put them into practice [and faithfully do them].
Q3 - This scripture says “if you put them into practice.” Are there certain instructions you’ve received from God but have difficulty putting into practice?
Q4 - What blessings do you feel like you’ve received as a result of putting God’s instructions into practice?
#3 - Through our giving
Proverbs 11:24 EXB
Some people give much but get back even more.
Others don’t give what they should and end up poor.
25 Whoever ·gives to others will get richer [or blesses others will be refreshed];
those who ·help [satisfy] others will themselves be ·helped [satisfied].
Q5 - Satisfaction comes with giving. Name a time in your life where you’ve sacrificed for someone in need and how it felt to you.
Q6 - Name a time when someone else has sacrificed for you and how it made you feel.
Q7 - What feels better, receiving from others or giving to others? Why?
Galatians 6:7 NLT Don’t be misled—you cannot mock the justice of God. You will always harvest what you plant.
What we plant is what we harvest. This is good news! Because if we don’t like what we’re harvesting, we can change the seed we’re planting.
Q8 - Name one way you can change the seed you’re planting in order to improve the harvest you’re getting in life. (this could be in any area of your life like spiritually, health, financially, education, in your career, etc.)
Q9 - If we are receiving a good harvest or results in life, we can always plant more in that area. Name something good in your life that you want more of.
Q10 - Would you be willing to plant more in order to receive a greater harvest in this area? How can you do that?
Our goal is to launch a church in Tijuana, Mexico! Right now we have over 60 men in our men’s home in Mexico. One person in particular was found addicted, with a severe injury when he was run over by a diesel truck. He is now rehabilitated, and in our men’s home in Mexico! Let’s support our new church launch in Mexico and the lives that are currently being impacted.

Father, help me to plant better seed in life. Guide my words, so that I am always speaking life and not speaking death. Guide my actions so that I am always representing you well, and living like Christ. Guide my generosity, so that I can always be a source of blessing for others. Thank you for blessing me with a great harvest this year! In Jesus name, Amen!
This week, find 3 ways you can intentionally plant good seed: through your words, through your actions, and through your giving! Make this a week you plant great seed for a great harvest!
Note for Leaders: Take prayer requests and praise reports. Keep a good record of this. Follow up on prayer requests and celebrate praise reports.
