Luke 19:10 (EASY) - I, the Son of Man, came to look for people who are far away from God. They are in danger and I have come to save them.
INTRODUCTION
Today, we’re going to learn about:
- Jesus did not come merely to teach good principles or perform miracles—He
came to seek and save people who were far from God. - Everything He said and did reflected His mission to rescue people from the
power and consequences of sin. - As His followers, we are called to share that same heart and mission.
- In this lesson, we will learn to see people as Jesus sees them, feel compassion
for those who are lost, and accept our responsibility to help others find salvation
through Him.
TRUTH #1
JESUS HAD ONE GOAL - SAVE SOULS!
Luke 19:10 (EASY) - I, the Son of Man, came to look for people who are far away from God. They are in danger and I have come to save them.
- Jesus was a soul-winner, and He never lost sight of His goal.
- The word translated as ‘save’ here comes from the Greek word ‘sozo.’ It means to rescue from destruction and danger, restore to health, deliver from misery, slavery, judgment, and the devil, to make well and give the gift of forgiveness and eternal life.
- Everything Jesus said and did was part of His plan to save mankind from the power, misery, and judgement on sin.
- He was always doing something that was 100% focused on soul-winning.

JESUS DID NOT COME TO JUDGE WORLD BUT TO SAVE IT!
John 3:17 (AMP) - For God did not send the Son into the world to judge and condemn the world, that is, to initiate the final judgment of the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
- When Jesus comes back, he will be coming to judge the world.
- On this day of final judgment, Jesus will separate the saved from the unsaved.
Matthew 25:31-32, 46 (NLT) - 31 “But when the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, then he will sit upon his glorious throne. 32 All the nations will be gathered in his presence, and he will separate the people as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.… 46 And they (the goats/unsaved) will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous will go into eternal life.”
- The time for us and our friends, family to be saved is right now.
- While we still have breath in our lungs, before Jesus Christ comes back, we need to ask Him to save us.

JESUS HAD COMPASSION FOR THE UNSAVED AND BELIEVED THAT THEY WERE READY TO BE SAVED!
Matthew 9:36-38 (CEB) - 36 Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he had compassion for them because they were troubled and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. 37 Then he said to his disciples, “The size of the harvest is bigger than you can imagine,
but there are few workers. 38 Therefore, plead with the Lord of the harvest to send out workers for his harvest.”- Compassion is a feeling of deep concern and sorrow for another who is suffering
from misfortune accompanied by a strong desire to alleviate the suffering.
- Jesus saw the people’s need, pain, misery, depression, mental illness, addictions, pressure, hopelessness, suffering, emptiness, loneliness, diseased bodies, heart break, etc. . .
- Until we are saved, every one of us is troubled and helpless.
- We cannot fix the emptiness, depression, misery and lost condition we are in because of our sin - only Jesus can!
- Compassion is also the inward burden that the Holy Spirit gives us for the lost that causes us to do all we can to reach them.
- The problem is not a shortage of people needing to be saved, it is not having enough soul winners!

Let’s make a goal that in the next 4 weeks we will see 2,000 souls saved!
#3 - GET SAVED! (Get saved while you still have breath in your lungs, and before Jesus comes back.)
Romans 10:9-10 (CSB) - 9 If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.10One believes with the heart, resulting in righteousness, and one confesses with the mouth, resulting in salvation.

GIVING
When we allow genuine compassion to drive our generosity it invites God’s blessings into every aspect of our lives.
Deuteronomy 15:10-11 (NLT)
10 Give generously to the poor, not grudgingly, for the Lord your God will bless you in everything you do. 11 There will always be some in the land who are poor. That is why I am commanding you to share freely with the poor and with other Israelites in need.
Encourage everyone to give their tithes and offerings.
