GROWTH QUESTION #3

What was your most important accomplishment this week?

introduction

  • A successful mindset must be developed.

  • Until our thinking changes there will not be any change or transformation in our lives, emotions, finances, business, family, marriage, organization or ministry.

  • Applying the same mindset to the same problems and challenges will produce the same results.

  • We cannot succeed with a victim, defeated, doubtful, fearful, negative, confused, bitter, hopeless, poverty, angry, critical, limited, ungodly and small mindset.

QUOTE: “Our lives are always moving in the direction of our strongest thoughts. What we think shapes who we are.” - Craig Groeschel

TRUTH #1

OUR THOUGHTS PRODUCE OUR RESULTS.

Romans 8:6 (EXB) - If people’s thinking is controlled/set on the sinful self the result is death. But if their thinking is controlled/set on the Spirit, the result is life and peace.

  • The Bible does not say “might be” or “should be.” The result is certain. Mindsets always produce outcomes.

  • To change our outcomes, we must change our thinking.

  • Thoughts are not neutral, they are always leading us to a specific place.

  • A victorious mindset produces a victorious life. A defeated mindset produces a defeated life.

  • The result of a sinful mindset is death.

  • Death: (thanatos) darkness, the misery of the soul caused by sinful thoughts and actions which begins on earth and lasts and increases after death forever in hell, addiction, separation from God and the blessed life He offers us in Christ, loss of life.

  • The result of a spiritual mindset is life and peace.

  • Life: (zoe) absolute fullness of life, which belongs to God and is received through faith in Christ. A life devoted to God, blessed in this world, and after the resurrection to last forever, the happy life that is filled with every kind of blessing, The life that is supplied by God by the Holy Spirit, the real life

  • Peace: (eirene) a life that is free from rage, bitterness, animosity, irritation, and outburst of anger. Peaceful, unified and healthy relationships rather than divided and toxic relationships, the tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ and so fearing nothing from God.

INTERACTIVE QUESTION

What is one way your thoughts can affect the kind of day you have?

TRUTH #2

OUR THOUGHTS ARE MAGNETS.

Luke 6:45 (EASY) People are also like that. A good man keeps good things in his mind. In his life, he brings those good things out from there. But a bad man keeps bad things in his mind. He brings those bad thoughts out from there. When a person speaks, his words show what is really in his mind.

  • Our thoughts are magnets. They bring in and produce what we are constantly thinking about.

  • If our mind it’s constantly thinking about good things, it will bring good things into our lives.

  • Good: (agathos) excellence, profit, what is beneficial, kindness, favor, generosity, riches, wealth, abundance, joy, happiness, peace, inward and outward success.

  • If our mind is constantly thinking about bad things, it will bring bad things into our lives.

  • Bad: (poneros) hardship, pain, trouble, torment of the soul, disease, immortality, evil, demons, hurt, degeneracy, guilt, harm.

  • We know what someone is thinking by what comes out of their mouth. They can not hide it. Their mouths give them away.

INTERACTIVE QUESTION

What are some things people say when they have been thinking negative thoughts?

TRUTH #3

IF WE GIVE OUR LIVES TO JESUS HE WILL GIVE US A NEW SPIRIT AND NEW WAY OF THINKING.

Ezekiel 36:26 (ERV) - I will also put a new spirit in you to change your way of thinking. I will take out the heart of stone from your body and give you a tender, human heart.

  • This is the biggest miracle of all! God will give us a new spirit and a new way of thinking.

  • Through Jesus Christ, both our thinking and our lives can be changed forever!

  • We can change habits for a season, but only God can change the heart that produces those habits.

  • A new way of thinking starts with a new spirit.

  • When Jesus changes your heart, He changes your desires, decisions, reactions, relationships and direction.

  • Jesus does not come into our lives to help us stay the same. He comes to make us new.

INTERACTIVE QUESTION

What does it look like when someone has a heart that is open and tender to God?

CLOSING QUESTION

What is one thought you want God to help you change this week?

GIVING

Giving in proportion to what we've received acknowledges God's abundant provision in our lives and shows our trust in Him as the source of all our blessings.

Deuteronomy 16:17 (NLT)
All must give as they are able, according to the blessings given to them by the Lord your God.

Encourage everyone to give their tithes and offerings.
