HOW TO DEVELOP A PASTOR/MINISTRY LEADER? (pt.2)

2. TRAIN THEM HOW TO DEVELOP A MULTIPLYING D.G NETWORK.

  • If a  Pastor/ministry leader can not lead a multiplying D.G , He will never be  able to produce a growing, fruitful, and multiplying church or ministry.
  • Leading a healthy D.G that is growing, reproducing and eventually  multiplying is the foundation of a church or ministry that is thriving. A  D.G is in essence a smaller church.

Matthew 25:21 (NLT) 21 “The master was full of praise. ‘Well done, my good and faithful servant. You have been faithful in handling this small amount, so now I will give you many more responsibilities. Let’s celebrate together!

A. QUALITIES THAT A LEADER MUST DEVELOP TO LEAD A HEALTHY AND MULTIPLYING D.G.

1. CONSISTENCY

  • Meet on a weekly basis. (Our D.G’s are churches.)
  • They need to have a place that they can meet and build community, be heard, cared for, trained, make friends, be encouraged, challenged to grow, be held accountable, counseled, loved, set goals, serve others, etc. . .

2. LOVING AND CARING
  • The best way to know if a leader really cares for people and is not in it for a position, title or money is the through looking at the people in their D.G.
  • D.G’s are a place where our true love, concern, and desire to see people become more and more like Christ will be revealed. We will never have a healthy D.G if the people in our D.G don’t feel loved or learn how to love and care for one another.
  • The culture of love starts with the D.G leader.
  • Leading A D.G will keep us humble, loving and grounded.

3. SETTING GROWTH GOALS AND ACHIEVING THEM.
  • How can a Pastor grow a church if they haven’t learned to grow a D.G. or the people in the D.G.
  • The kind of people that a D.G leader develops is the kind of members they will develop as a Pastor.
  • Their D.G is a sample of what a whole church will be under their leadership.

4. FOLLOW UP
  • We must learn how to grow and hold the growth. Gain ground and hold it. See souls saved and disciple them.
  • We can not be ok with losing anyone God has given us.
John 6:39 (NLT) And this is the will of God, that I should not lose even one of all those he has given me, but that I should raise them up at the last day.

5. LEADERSHIP AND PEOPLE DEVELOPMENT

  • Without developing leaders to expand and take care of the people the D.G or ministry can not sustain or hold growth.
  • The church can only multiply if we develop new D.G’s and ministries leaders.

B. THREE MEETINGS EVERY FUTURE PASTOR OR MINISTRY LEADER MUST ATTEND EVERY WEEK

1. D.G MEETING.

  • A D.G meeting with a chosen apprentice that they are mentoring to lead a D.G of their own. This would be the leader that leads the D.G
when the leader can’t make it.

2. A L.G MEETING THAT THEY ARE ATTENDING.

  • This is the meeting which they are meeting with their leader.
  • This is their training, planning, accountability, goal setting, and where they are cared for and
developed into mature and multiplying leaders.

3. L.G MEETING THAT THEY ARE LEADING WITH THEIR TOP 12 LEADERS.

  • In this meeting they are training 12 people to lead a reproducing and multiplying D.G.
  • In this meeting they are setting D.G, ministry, and individual goals.
  • Also, planning, assigning responsibilities, caring for one another, holding each other accountable, training, sharing vision, celebrating success, building a spirit of unity and teamwork, developing multiplying leaders,
