The Supernatural Leader
INTRODUCTION:
ACTS 1:8 NLT
8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
- We have been given the ability to lead, supernaturally. God has given us His Spirit. His Spirit, is like a fire in us, that wants to pour out through us as we accomplish the great commission!
ACTS 1:8 NLT
8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”
- Kingdom goals, are supernatural goals and the enemy to supernatural goals, is natural thinking.
ISAIAH 55:8-9 NLT
8 “My thoughts are nothing like your thoughts,” says the Lord. “And my ways are far beyond anything you could imagine. 9 For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so my ways are higher than your ways and my thoughts higher than your thoughts.
- People need to encounter the supernatural power of God through us, through a supernatural leader! It’s what sets us apart from secular leadership!

The natural leader moves to quickly, for the Lord, they lack awareness of holy moments, thinking of their next meeting, goal they must hit or task they need to run off to. They go to extreme lengths for the natural things, lacking rest, sleepless nights, massive efforts for natural work, but they don’t put that same effort towards the Holy Spirit. They have no time for supernatural encounters with God in their secret place.
Example: Mary & Martha Luke 10:38–42 (NLT)
- The natural leader depends on themselves, or another person rather than God.
- The natural leaders drive, doesn’t come from the fire of God, but from selfish ambition and people pleasing (trying to become the greatest, trying to prove themself)
- Some of us have been called to be fire starters and help people in our lives to be set on fire and stay on fire. . but our distance from the fire of God, has become their distance from the fire as well. In other words there’s people who are depending on you to be set on fire and keep that fire burning in you!
- The supernatural leader walks in a supernatural confidence in the Lord. David walked in a supernatural confidence in his supernatural God!
- A potential killer to the fire, is when we take on a mindset of not trying to be “over spiritual” .. it can get us to become more of a natural leader, shying away from the fire of God and concerned more about if this is going to come across to people as “over spiritual”? The question is, is this coming from the Lord? That's all that matters.
CLOSING:
- This walk is a walk of power. And you are called to steward that power that has been distributed to you, that is the Holy Spirit. The gift that God has given us is the Holy Spirit.
- The sobering truth is this, that we could have been supernatural leaders, or experienced events of supernatural leadership, and drift from it, losing it. So you must maintain it. And reactivate it in your life, and if you want to reactivate the fire of God in your life, let’s start today.
- Pray and receive an impartation of the fire of God today!
