Supernatural leadership starts with dependence on God not skill. Prayer is partnership.
Principle: A praying leader acknowledges leadership as a stewardship from God and seeks His guidance before every decision.
Note: We need Gods wisdom to make disciples, develop leaders, accomplish a vision, grow the church, create systems, overcome challenges, to deal with difficult people and circumstances, find solutions to problems, to help people, reach our cities for Christ,
Especially when under pressure, in trials or making major decisions. If we ask God for wisdom, He will give it to us generously.
James 1:2-5 (NLT) 2 Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. 3 For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. . . . 5 If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking.
Wisdom: (sophia) the wisdom of God, skill in the management of affairs, supreme intelligence that belongs to God/Christ, the knowledge and practice of living a Godly and upright life, skill in imparting Christian truth, knowledge of very diverse matters, the act of interpreting dreams,
Application: Make a list of prayer request, petitions and areas that you are tempted to worry about and use it to pray. Either we are going to worry about it of pray about it. Worry is like Praying to Satan and asking Him to make your worries and fears to
come to pass.
He doesn't allow days, seasons without prayer. Prayer is a non negotiable. A praying leader does not allow the distractions to get in the way of their prayer life.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 (NIV) "Pray continually."
Continually: (adialeiptōs/ad-ee-al-ipe'-toce) without ceasing, without dying out, without intermission, uninterruptedly, without omission, with out stopping.
Question: When did we stop praying? The moment we stopped praying is the moment we stopped moving in the Spirit, stopped walking in the wisdom of the Lord, stopped seeing miracles, and started getting frustrated, impatient, lustful, falling for temptation, complaining, talking about others, burned out, ungrateful, worrying, doubtful, being overwhelmed etc. . . Without prayer we are going to have a Sin encounter while prayer gives us a God encounter.
Thanksgiving is a great way to start your prayer and stay connected to God all day long. Even if you just said thank you Jesus, thank
Jesus, thank Jesus... it would be a way of praying without ceasing. When we start thanking the Lord, u develop a limitless mindset.
1 Thessalonians 5:18(NLT) 18 Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus
Application: Make a ever expanding thanksgiving list that you can refer to when
praying.
